Yard of the Month

Throughout the year, we recognize those neighbors in River Trails who put a special touch on their well-kept and landscaped yards.  The winner is recognized with a sign posted in their yard for the month.  They also receive recognition in our newsletter, Facebook page, and website.

National Night Out

Held on the first Tuesday night in August, this celebration invites all River Trails neighbors to join together to:

• Heighten awareness of crime prevention in our neighborhood
• Generate support for and participation in anti-crime efforts
• Strengthen police and community partnerships
• Send a message to criminals that they are not wanted in our neighborhood.  

National Night Out is celebrated by neighbors coming out and meeting their neighbors or having a block party.  If your street is not stepping out, you can host a party to get your neighbors out or just drive around and join one already in progress.  Additional information will be available in our newsletters, Facebook page, and here on our website.

Flag Days

The residents of River Trails take as much pride in America, as we do in our neighborhood.  Flags can be seen flying on the following holidays:

• Flag Day
• Fourth of July
• Labor Day
• Memorial Day

Halloween

Halloween is an extra special holiday in River Trails.  The streets are alive with ghosts and goblins in search of treats....also a haunted house or two. Visit and participate in Trunk-or-Treat activities at the River Trails Elementary front parking lot. Enter your home in the annual decorating contest!  We recognize the holiday winners with gift certificates and receive recognition in our newsletter, Facebook page, and website.

Christmas

Throughout the month of December, the neighborhood is aglow with festive lights to celebrate the holiday season.  Enter your home in the annual decorating contest!  We recognize the holiday winners with gift certificates and receive recognition in our newsletter, Facebook page, and website.

Neighborhood Yard Sale

River Trails coordinates with the Lakes of River Trails to hold a community-wide yard sale during the month of May.  Entrance signs will be posted and notifications will be published in an area newspaper.

Throughout the year, events in our neighborhood and in the area will be posted in the River Trails Homeowner's Association newsletter, Facebook page, and here on our website.
