Like all neighborhoods in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, River Trails is sometimes subject to criminal activity. Although activity has been minor and minimal, the residents of River Trails go above and beyond in assisting with keeping our neighborhood as safe and secure as possible. To minimize activity within the neighborhood, residents participate in one or more community crime prevention groups, thereby looking out for one another, our children, our property, and our surroundings. There are currently three levels of participation; Block Captains, Crime Watch Groups, and Citizens on Patrol. The available programs range from light involvement, such as simply being your block point person, to actually patrolling the neighborhood with statistical data from the local police department. All participation is strictly voluntary. Therefore, you determine just how involved you want to be. The more people who participate, the safer our neighborhood is. Let's have each other's back!
If you are interested in joining one or more of the available community crime prevention programs or simply want additional information, contact Bill Rhyan at 817-395-2888 or via email at rhyanbill@gmail.com
